Stump Grinding in Petaluma, CAWhat happens to the tree stump that remains when a tree is cut down? Does it disintegrate? Should you take it out? Is grinding stumps the best choice? If so, how is that carried out?
The length of decomposition depends on the tree. Some tree stumps begin to sprout shoots in an effort to regrowth; eventually, they may develop into a new tree as opposed to disintegrating. It may take 20 years or more for the stump of an older, larger tree to decay and decompose naturally. On the other hand, sometimes ants, pests, illnesses, fungi, mushrooms, or moss will begin to grow on the stump, hastening the process of decomposition. However you look at it, a naturally decaying stump takes a while to go away and can pose a concern to safety throughout that time. A tree stump can be easily removed in one of two ways: by digging it out or by grinding it up. The removal of a tree stump requires the use of an excavator and will significantly harm the surrounding region. |
